About the Founder
Ty Martin is the Founder and CEO of Ad Bacon and Audience Kitchen. He is both an award-winning digital marketing strategist/leader and a lifelong entrepreneur going back to high school, when he created a search engine for sound effects that earned revenue as one of Google's earliest search partners and that quickly became one of the most popular specialty search engines of the early 2000s. Today, Ty’s work with brands and agencies has given him insight into advertiser pain points that he solves with innovative technologies including Ad Bacon Trends, Bid Skillet, Geo Matcher, and Audience Kitchen.
Prior to launching his recent products, Ty was head of search marketing and cross-channel digital media strategy for iCrossing, a digital agency where he led a division of 100+ employees overseeing digital marketing for 40+ major brands including LEGO, Coca-Cola, Charles Schwab, The New York Times, VMware, and PetSmart. During his leadership, iCrossing was recognized by Forrester Research as a Leading U.S. Search Marketing Agency and by Ad Age as the #1 U.S. Search Marketing Agency by revenue. In 2013, Ty was recognized by iCrossing’s parent company, Hearst Corporation, with its Spotlight Award.
Ty holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurship, Management and the Music Industry from University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business. When not working, Ty likes to jam on the guitar and hang with his wife and son.
